ITINERARY
Day
1 Arrive to Toronto, ON
Arrive to the Toronto International Airport. A complimentary
airport transfer voucher is included in your tour documents.
Enjoy a full service hotel, as the rest of the day is free
to do as you wish. This evening, join your Tour Director
and fellow passengers for a “Welcome Get Acquainted
Reception and Tour Briefing.” Day
2 Toronto to Niagara Falls, ON B
Early rise and shine this morning as we are greeted by
our tour director during a full breakfast. We board our
tour coach go to Royal York Hotel to pick up our local
guide. We are treated to a locally guided city tour of
Toronto, including such highlights as the City Hall, the
banking district, Parliament Buildings, and more. Our
tour ends at CN Tower at 11 am. We visit this 554 metre
tower and go to the top for an astounding view of Toronto’s
harbor and skyline. After lunch, we proceed south through
rich farmlands and vineyards along the Queen Elizabeth
Highway to the charming village of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
We stop here for an afternoon
break
before heading along gorgeous Niagara Parkway to Niagara
Falls. We then enjoy a thrilling excursion aboard the
“Maid of the Mist” for an incredible sight
of the enormous falls. Later on we visit the “Brock
Monument”, the “Floral Clock” and
“Whirlpool Rapids” for pictures. Niagara Falls,the
“Honeymoon Capital of the World,” is our home
for the night. Enjoy a first class centrally located hotel
close to the falls. |

Day
3 Niagara Falls to Ottawa, ON B
After an included breakfast, we travel along the St. Lawrence
River and stop in Kingston for lunch. Then it’s on
to the capital city of our great nation – Ottawa.
Ottawa has been described as one of the most beautiful capitals
in the world. Upon arrival this afternoon, we visit the
Canadian War Museum before checking into our full service,
first-class downtown hotel for the night.

4 Ottawa City Tour & Montreal, PQ B
This morning, we are met by a local guide for a deluxe tour
of Ottawa, including a guided tour of the Parliament Building,
the Prime Minister’s residence, Rideau Hall and more!
After a leisurely lunch, we board our luxury coach and travel
to the “cosmopolitan” city of Montreal. We arrive
to Old Montreal for a visit to the Notre-Dame Basilica in
the late afternoon. We spend some time in Old Montreal for
browsing and souvenir shopping before checking into our
downtown hotel for the night.

5 Montreal City Tour & Quebec City, PQ 2 Nts, B
This morning we enjoy a locally guided, cultural and historical
tour of Montreal including the Olympic Park, St. Joseph’s
Oratory, and a view of the city from Mount Royal. After
leisurely lunch, our short travel brings us to Old Quebec
City for a cultural experience. We spend a couple of hours
here for browsing and souvenir shopping before checking
into our hotel for a 2 night’s stay.

6 Quebec City Tour B
We begin a day filled with cultural excitement. The French
heritage is evident everywhere. The narrow streets and quaint
buildings of the “Old Town”, the only walled
city on the continent, other than Mexico, exude a romantic
atmosphere. We enjoy a locally guided tour of Quebec City
including the World Famous Chateau Frontenac, the Latin
Quarter, Plains of Abraham, and much more! We return to
the hotel for the night. |

7 Quebec City to Bar Harbor, ME BWe depart Quebec City this
morning, and cross the Canada/US border into the New England
State of Maine. We marvel at the gorgeous scenery of farmlands
and countryside in fall foliage, on our way to Bangore.
A short further drive brings us to the famous fishing and
resort town of Bar Harbor for an overnight stay.
Day 8 Scenic Ferry to Yarmouth & Halifax,
NS 2 Nts, B
After an included breakfast this morning, we board a full
service scenic ferry (subject to ferry schedule) to Yarmouth,
NS. We then travel along the west coast of Nova Scotia
with a short stop at Port Royal National Park. Our trip
continues through the Annapolis Valley as we make a short
visit to Grand Pre National Historical Site. We finish
the day with a drive to Halifax for a 2 night’s
stay.

9 Halifax Sightseeing B
We are treated to a locally guided deluxe tour of the naval
city of Halifax. The educational tour highlights the downtown
area including the financial district, City Hall, Pier 21,
Province House, the Titanic Memorial, Public Gardens and
more. We enjoy a scattered lunch at the Halifax Historic
Properties. After lunch, our leisurely drive brings us to
the rustic charm of the famous fishing village of Peggy’s
Cove. Peggy’s Cove is world famous for its picturesque
lighthouse on the rocky shores of the Atlantic. Enjoy some
free time for browsing and picture taking at Peggy’s
Cove this afternoon. We return to Halifax with the evening
free to do as we please.

10 Hopewell Rock & Anne Murray Museum B
We leave Halifax this morning and travel to Springhill,
home of Canadian singing star, Anne Murray. Here we visit
the Anne Murray Museum. Next we stop at the incredible Hopewell
Cape where we have the opportunity to walk on the ocean
floor at low tide (subject to tide conditions). We spend
the night in Moncton.
Day 11 Olivier Soapery & Lobstering
Cruise 2 Nts, L, B
After a leisurely included breakfast we prepare ourselves
for a day of interesting and educational demonstrations.
We start by visiting the mysterious “Magnetic Hill”
in Moncton. Afterwards a short drive brings us to the
fishing community of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. Here we take
pleasure in watching a demonstration of traditional soap
making. Later on this morning we arrive in Shediac Bay
where we board the town’s famous Lobstering Cruise.
Learn how to fish, cook, and crack your own lobster from
the best during this intriguing experience. We enjoy an
included lobster lunch on board with fellow passengers.
In the mid afternoon we proceed to Prince Edward Island,
crossing the 13 km Confederation Bridge. We stop and take
time for pictures on this Canadian landmark. We continue
on to Summerside where we spend the next 2 nights.

12 Full Day of Island Sightseeing B
Prepare for a full day of adventure, sightseeing and fun.
We are treated this morning to a locally guided tour of
Charlottetown. We tour the Province House, churches, Victorian
homes, the Confederation Centre and more. After lunch, we
stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company on our
way to Anne of Green Gables Home and the sand dunes at Cavendish
Beach. We return to our waterfront hotel for the night.

13 Scenic Ferry Crossing & Cape Breton Island 3 Nts
B
Enjoy a beautiful and scenic ferry ride this morning from
Woods Island, PEI to Caribou, NS. Our leisurely drive east
across the Strait of Canso brings us into Cape Breton, the
island of the hearty and independent Scots, the original
European settlers of this historic island that also is rich
in French heritage. Enjoy the most dramatic and scenic views
of the cliffs and moors as we travel to Baddeck for a visit
to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. Here
is where Mr. Bell conceived and tested some of his spectacular
inventions! Our short journey continues on to our hotel
in Sydney. Relax and enjoy some free time using the amenities
of our hotel for the next 3 nights.

14 Scenic Cabot Trail B
We get started for our full day scenic adventure on Cabot
Trail, named after the famous explorer who first sighted
the island in 1497. Watch as we pass the meandering glens,
rugged coastlines, white gypsum bluffs and the always-pounding
surf. We make some photo stops enroute to make this a
very special day, indeed. Enjoy the most relaxing and
scenic adventure of the tour. We retire for the night
back in Sydney.

15 Historic Fortress of Louisburg
Rest or catch up on personal enjoyments as this morning
is at our leisure. At 1 PM we leave our hotel and visit
the historical Fortress of Louisbourg, the famous 18th century
Fortress. It is beautifully restored with inhabitants dressed
in period costume, and it stands today as it did 200 years
ago. The whole afternoon is allowed to explore this monument
thoroughly. After a pleasant historical adventure, we return
to our Sydney hotel in the late afternoon. |

16 Corner Brook, NF B
This morning, we start our adventure as we board the Marine
Atlantic Ferry at North Sydney, NS to Port Aux Basques,
NF (subject to Ferry schedule). Sit back, relax and watch
for marine life as we sail across the Cabot Strait. Our
overnight stop is in the beautiful city of Corner Brook
on Humber Fjord. Day
17 Grand Falls, NF B
We get off the beaten path and take a trip into Gros Morne
National Park, designated a world Heritage site, with
breathtaking scenery. We stop at Rocky Harbour and the
park’s Visitor Centre. We travel eastward on the
Trans Canada Highway arriving to Grand Falls. We stay
overnight here in Grand Falls, one of the largest suppliers
of newsprint in the world.

18 Clarenville, NF B
We leave Grand Falls this morning. During the “Road
to the Isles” drive, the area’s amusingly named
settlements such as Virgin Arm, Crow Head and Hatchet Harbour
highlight the unique local nature. At historic Twillingate,
we visit the Museum and the Long Point Lighthouse. We continue
our journey down to Gander and on to beautiful Terra Nova
National Park and its Visitor Centre. A further short drive
brings us to Clarenville for the overnight stay. Tonight
we enjoy a “screech-in” party, the traditional
Newfoundland welcome.

19 St. John’s, NF 2 Nts, B
We travel to the Avalon Peninsula. Sit back and relax as
we drive through Heart’s Delight and Heart’s
Desire to the small town of Heart’s Content. We visit
the old cable relay station, where the first transatlantic
cable was landed in 1866. We make a short stop in Harbour
Grace, an old pirate town, where Amelia Earhart took off
in 1932 for her pioneering solo flight across the Atlantic
Ocean. We continue our scenic drive through Conception Bay
to St. John’s, NF. A city unlike any other, the “City
of Legends” is cradled in a harbour carved from granite
and is surrounded by hills running down to the ocean. Quaint
side streets of a thousand colours and friendly faces await
to greet you. We stay in St. John for the next two nights. |

20 St. John’s City of Legends Tour B, D
This morning we tour old St. John’s where we visit
such National historic sites as Cabot Tower and Signal Hill,
while hearing the legends of Dead Man’s Pond, Government
House and the history surrounding the Colonial Building.
This tour will orient us with a feel for the history, legend,
and lore of St. John’s, the oldest community in North
America. Our city tour ends at the downtown waterfront.

We have free time until 2 pm for lunch and shopping in the
heart of downtown St. John’s. Take this opportunity
for last minute souvenir shopping for your loved ones. Afterwards,
we drive around Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North
America, beautiful Petty Harbour and the historic waterfront.
This evening, join your tour director and fellow passengers
for a traditional Maritimes Dinner courtesy of Pacific Gold
Tours.

21 Return Home from St. John’s
All good things must come to an end! We take with us our
memories of a wonderful ‘Atlantic Canada’experience
as we travel to the airport for our return flight home.
